Use the space-bar instead.

Also, you can find out about the various cammands available with some
variation of:

[command] -h

[command] --help

man [command]

where [command] is the program you're using--like 'less' or 'more'

Often, you can get keystroke help inside the app as well--but I've never
found that in 'less.'

PS: There are html versions of the HOWTO's which I personally prefer at
metalab.uncc.edu.
