versions and essential directories

Hi Chuck:  Boy, you are full of questions this afternoon!  First of
all, although the version number doesn't change, there is a date field
just to the right of the version number which should show the date and
time of the current cvs version.  The actual version number won't
change until I release v-0.10.

If you are going to stay with the cvs code then yu are perfectly
welcome to rm your old speakup tar ball tree. 'grin'

As far as the /lib/modules subtrees go, if you are not using the old
kernel as a backup kernel then yes you can rm the old modules trees as
well.  That something that gets overlooked by most folks when changing
kernels.  If you do have a vmlinuz.old or whatever which is an older
kernel then it wouldn't be wise to remove that tree cause if you need
it you may be in trouble.
