problem mounting cdrom on a debian system

Hi Chris: Try: 

mount -t iso9660 /dev/cdrom /cdrom

The first item is the type flag and the type of file system to mount,
followed by the device to be loaded /dev/cdrom (usually and symlink)
on the file system tree at /cdrom.
