Hi Doug,

I did that, but get the same behavior. Same unacceptable delay, and the
same message from JACK. 

I'm not sure I need jack actually. It got pulled in somehow while
messing with installing and deinstalling stuff. Maybe I'll trying deep
sixing jack and see what happens.
