A Linux Laptop including speech?

Yes Luc,
as certain as  any human can be since I try to research before posting.
Thanks for the link I will give those a look.
A laptop it must be, as distance and angel are an issue for me here.
Although I did not see firmly if such worked in DOS in any case?
