Speakup for linux info wanted

Hi.  I don't think it is in a doc from the web site.  Someone posted a
message describing how they got software speech running in Fedora a few
months ago to the list.  Others replied with info on how there distro
did things, but I don't think the thread was ever put into a complete
HOWTO.
