workbone with speakup

Hi Gang -

My distribution contains a very simple audio CD player called "workbone"
which seems to want to use the numeric keypad to control its action. Is
there any way to issue numeric keypad keypresses that speakup will not
grab? I guess I could get the sources and hack another interface, but
maybe there is a simpler way...
