It's been four years since I had a working config in Debian, and that was for a 56K connection. I managed to get something right that time, anyway. I still see my fqdn being listed in my headers, rather than my ISP's, which I don't want. Once masquerading is properly configured, and I find a text file player that will feed my synthesizer a large file without crashing it, I'll be able to dump Windows. As it is, I have to spend so much time in Windows, trying to accomplish the things I need to do, I'm having little time to devote to Linux. I do use Lynx for the web when Slackware's running, and plan on making a front-end for the puppy to strip out all of Google's unwanted links before displaying the pages. I *love* lynx's dump feature, and how most linux commands can be piped together. > Looks good now from here at least. Thanks. Well, how could I be when I'm essentially doing the same thing I'm griping about? That's what's so funny about complaining, and how often getting egg on your own face happens when you do it. I'm just glad I don't have to deal with the 60+ headers that comes with each message generated in this list. I firmly believe that higher speed connections are only being created so that they can deliver flashier, more attractive spam and header grafitti. Michael
