<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2> Hi all! Until now I've being
developping under Windows platform using Jaws. Now I am interested in learn
linux and as I usually program in java, I would like to continue to do my work
but under linux this time.</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>I downloaded and installed zipspeak and it is
running with bns. </FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>Does any one have some ideas about:</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>1) where can I find a good introduction to
linux?</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>2) Does any one already compiled and ran a java
program under zipspeak?</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>3) Where can I find a program editor or tool that
runs under linux? I use Eclipse but it uses graphical interface so I guess
speak-up won't work with it. Am I right?</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>4) Just a genral question: If I understood right,
Linux has many graphical interfaces but if an appplication was written under one
it will not work under another. So, depending on the graphical interface you
were using you will have more or less applications.</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2> Thanks, Alexandre.</FONT></DIV>
