<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>ok, if i plug my synth into my laptop computer 

bootdisks for debian/redhat/slackware work. if i use the same disk and same 

synth on my desktop it doesn't talk. the synth is either apollo2 or decexpress. 

i have a feeling that this is because speakup cannot initialise some newer 

serial ports, is this true; could it be fixed easily?</FONT></DIV>
