VMware Debian8 and speakup

What I have found is that only one vm can have the soundcard checked at a time even if that vm is powered off the soundcard will not stay checked on other vms.-----Original Message-----

Hi,

I find that here for whatever reason any Linux distro I install with vmware workstation it disconnects the sound card and when I reconnect it sound works except for debian.

Hello there, well, I can tell you this, you're not the only person experiencing this problem. However, I can tell you, I have experienced this exact same problem under VMware. What I can tell you is that it is definitely not related to VMware version 11, because the same exact conditions happen in VMware nine. A friend of mine told me that it may be related to how VMware workstation is handling the audio device. However, I have absolutely no way to verify this unfortunately like you, there's not a lighter side assistance near me, but, I can tell you this. The login is actually occurring without any problem. Also, we also know that the PC speaker is enabled. Because, you can press backspace, and you can tell that you are in a console log in. I also tried to install why ASR, thinking that it may be related to speak up. However, there doesn't seem to be any audio in the new VM. I can tell though that the VM actually does have a sound card, and other devices. Sorry I could not be more helpful, but just want to tell you what I am experiencing here.
