In my /etc/modules on debian 7 I have speakup speakup_soft start=1 And in my /etc/rc.local I have speakupconf load The rc.local script didn't execute however when I rebooted and I had to go speakupconf load by myself. The +x bit is set on the script. Thoughts? Oh and /etc/speakup does exist.
