Well, I just confirmed this on 2.6.33.1. Any time I take an action that should result in a console beep, my system freezes. I don't have a console speaker, so I'm not hearing the beeps. Reading a line or a word or a character works beautifully. The box crashes when I move to one of the edges: top, bottom, left, or right. -- Chris
