wireless questions

Hello all,
I have ethernet working (that came with the new kernel), but I have a question.
When I use lspci I see an atheros network controler above my ethernet so I'm assuming the atheros is the wireless card, and there is not a driver for it, thus it's being considered a network controler, am I correct in assuming so? I'm trying to find out if I have the right wireless driver or not, or if I need to go get one, which might solve a lot of problems.
