Possible OT: Qemu keyboard/mouse grabbing not working as expected

Hi all. I am attempting to get some VMs up for testing/other instances where I
may need them using Qemu, and am running into problems with my XP one. While I
can get it installed and booting fine, I cannot seem to get Qemu to grab control
of the keyboard and mouse, so that I can have all my future keypresses be passed
to the guest. CTRL+Alt doesn't seem to do the trick, nor does CTRL+Alt+Shift via
the -alt-grab command line option. Am I perhaps missing something, or is it
still not possible to bring complete focus into the VM without clicking on the
Qemu window? If Qemu is not a viable solution, has anyone had better success
using something like Virtualbox with KVM support (afaik Virtualbox doesn't
support KVM yet, but I could be rong about this). Thanks.
