text tools for dealing with swf anyone

Thanks Chris.

After writing my message, I actually got the idea to see if wikipedia
had an article on swf. They did, and it mentioned swftools, which I
then found through freshmeat.net. As I was downloading the tar
archive, I checked my mail, and saw your reply. To make a long story
short, swfextract claims the file I wanted to get the sound from has
no sound, just images and movie clips, so that's that. However, it
does look like it could definitely do the job though. Thanks again for
your helpful reply.
