Which hardware synthesizer to buy?

The issue with vboxheadless is to interact at all with your OS (unless you're doing it 
over ssh or something) you need to connect with an rdp client, which raises its own 
accessibility issues.  I've successfully ran virtualbox started from a gnome session, 
and it worked well from what I remember, other then all the GUI stuff being inaccessible 
which really isn't a big deal.  Qemu with the curses patch is another option, and would 
most likely outperform bochs.
