packages broken--network card not detected

Hello,
I seem to have uninstalled the wrong package... oops.
I was wondring, if there would be a way for me to get a list of all the .deb packages that are needed so that I can mount an external hd, and just do a dpkg -i *.
I believe, that would solve my problem.
Thoughts?
