booting grub from cd

Hello list,
I've got a grub menu.lst that looks like this:
default 0
timeout 5
title miva kernel v1.0B
root (hd0,0)
kernel /boot/kernel.bin
It's only showing the grub menu. Any idea how to get it to use the cd?
