modern text-only software for making data cds?

Well, I'd  still be doing that today but I finally gave up on
cdrecord.  After my latest purchase of a DVD capable burner, cdrecord
kept giving a bunch of SCSI errors and burning coasters right and
left.  I swithed to the cdr-kit which included wodim to burn the ce's
and geniso to build the ISO images.  That pair works  great for me.
I've been using gnome more lately so have options there too but
haven't tried any of those yet.  I'll bet I'd probably just stick to
geniso/wodim for my data cd needs.  I have a shell script that makes
the overall task much easier.
