Debian Questions

Maybe a bug that I need to report.

Another question: Maybe I skipped over it but the aptitude manpage 
doesn't seem to explain how to install a .deb archive.  I downloaded 
Virtual Box and wish to install it but if I do aptitude install <file> 
it says that it can't find such a package.  Also, on the download page 
for Virtual Box, it only had a version available for Debian 4.0 - should 
this still work with Sid Unstable?  Should I just do aptitude install 
virtualbox and accept what it has, as it is only 10MB?  It said that 
some module package is broken.

So far loving Debian!  Only distro, besides Ubuntu, that I've been 
successful using Gnome.
