small problem with yum after reinstalling fedora core 6

Wrong way to go about that--totally unnecessary. Do a simple 'yum'
command at the command line and look at all the options yum provides.
That would quickly tell you the correct approach.

Satisfy the dpenendencies. Install the missing packages.
