NumPad 8 Rapidly?

Pressing numpad-8 twice fast will tell you how many spaces from the
left the current line is indented. If the line isn't indented, you
will hear 1. If the line starts with 1 space, you will hear 2. If the
line starts with 2 spaces, you will hear 3 and so on. So, I guess a
better description is that pressing numpad-8 twice fast will tell you
the column number from the left at which the first character that
isn't a space is found.
Of course, if you do this on a blank line, you will naturally hear
blank. Hth.
