I wonder if something is using the same IRQ.
Are there jumpers on the DoubleTalk that can be moved?
I remember my Artic215 had jumpers that I could move.
IRQ 7 was the best one, as the LPT port used that IRQ, and you usually
didn't need the synth during a print job.

Hi are there any special options to get Speakup to speek because I can't
get the doubletalk to speak using the boot cd or the rescue cd or the dvd
fedora 3 will speek using the boot cd.
I am using the following command
Text speakup_synth=ltlk
