Nope, 7.0 works fine.
After installing firefox 2.0 ... You do have to restart firefox for it to
work.
Take care,
Sina

I think you need Jaws 7.1 for FireFox.

Subject: JAWS 7.10 Windows 98SE
Just for kicks and giggles I decided to try out Jaws
for Windows 98SE,
when I launch Firefox, I now discover that I can not
access any of the text fields...
The keyboard fights with me in fact.
Surely this must be a configuration issue somewhere,
right?
Eloquence isn't as bad as I thought.
It apparently also see's my Sapi 4.0a microsoft
voices,
and the AT&T Naturally Speaking voice fonts, too.
Using any of those causes Jaws to drag considerably.
I can send text data to my DecTalk PC ISA card, by way
of Com4, I hear speak fine.
When I attempt to select any synthesizer supposedly
sending data to COM4 from inside Jaws, DecTalk PC
fails to speak.
Apparently, one must conclude that Jaws is attempting
perhaps some kind of querying... doesn't get back what
it expects, so doesn't work? I'm just theorizing and
speculating here.
Anyways... the fun never ends.
