Speakup Won't Compile

OK, I tried going back as far as March 1, 2006 with CVS with
linux-2.6.16.12 and the patching went fine but I get the following
compile time error.

drivers/char/speakup/speakup.c: In function `speakup_paste_selection':
drivers/char/speakup/speakup.c:489: error: structure has no member named
`receive_room'

What could be going on here?
