Actually you're right. It isn't extremely difficult to compile mplayer,
unless you have to get a lot of libraries like I did. I found it to be
a lot of fun as well, until a lot of packages that I wanted appeared on
marillat and needed the mplayer package and wouldn't work without it,
even if I had a CVS version installed. Oh well, it's really my fault,
since I didn't take the time to figure out how equivs works.
