What I'm thinking more of is to create a stand-alone tar ball of the cvs
version of speakup.  I understand I have to remove all the CVS related
points but I still recall getting patch errors and the like; I think it
was Gene Collins who prepared the last Speakup 2.0 archive.  I would
like to find a quick way to do this more regularly in the event no CVS
server is available.  CVS is great for getting the latest cutting edge
version of something but it also forces you to be dependent on the
server's constant availability.
