I just looked on my slackware 10.1 box as root and found pidof to be
symlinked to killall5. The date on the file was some time in 2005 and I
don't recall ever creating it myself. I've recalled using the pidof
command various times in the past though. It is located in /sbin so a
normal user wouldn't find it.
