I use plus five for speechd-up and minus five for speech-dispatcher,
although I have not played around with them to see if something else
might work better. Only root can use minus numbers, but any user can use
plus numbers when doing nice or renice to set priorities.
Yes, I noticed that symlink think about pidof too, but I never noticed
the availability of pidof while using Slackware, and several Fedora
systems I help admin do not have it available either. It's a nice
shortcut, saves messing with ps and all its options.
