Well, the real problem with jumpers is getting access to the 
documentation.  I've even scanned in docs only to find that the jumper 
settings are in diagrams.  And if you get sighted assistance, you need 
someone technical to decipher jumper settings even if they're not in a 
diagram.

Me: I need you to help me with the jumper settings for this board. <handing 
over manual>
Wife: What's a jumper?

My poor, long suffering wife. I shouldn't make fun of her. She's a 
blessing. Plus she hasn't asked what a jumper is for years.
