INCOMPATIBLE SERIAL PORT AND DECTALK USB QUESTION

If it is indeed the 25 pin serial port, you can probably get an adapter at a 
local computer store.
I'm sure they still have some around.

It has to be male and either 9 or 25-pin.  If he's feeling something 15-pin 
female, it's a video port.
