INCOMPATIBLE SERIAL PORT AND DECTALK USB QUESTION

Hi all,

I recently purchased a second hand DecTalk Express from a friend of mine in 
Dunedin.  However the nine pin serial port is incompatible with my ASUS 
laptop.  I have a 15 pin serial port that has the holes that you use to 
screw in the connector and on the synth end is a piece that sticks out from 
the connector that faces my PC.

Is there any way to get a 15 to 9 pin adaptor?

Also some people have mentioned the new DecTalk USB.  Has anyone tried using 
it on a Knoppix distro since Knoppix has hardware detection?
