DNS problem!

Hello all,

I was configuring Postfix today and did a little tweeking in my hosts 
file.  Now, I can't connect to anything unless I supply the IP!  What 
is up with this?  It is not my IP bc I am able to go anywhere in 
Windblows.  I was advised to use this line in my hosts file:
127.0.0.1 amelia.dyndns.org localhost

Note that the host I have above does not resolve; it is fake.  I am 
on dialup so I don't care about hostnames on the box and stuff.
