hi dan,
i had also got those messages at one time.
you might want to upgrade your slackware to 11.0
i am not sure why but i have found that some of the 2.4 kernels
cause those errors after i compile them.
i am using a 2.6.18.1 kernel and i nolonger get those errors.
you can get the slackware 11.0 iso images from slackware.com using bittorrent
anyway i am using slackware 11.0 and a 2.6.18.1 kernel
and i nolonger get those kind of errors.
hope this helps
