No, the usb to ps2 adapters will not work with a usb keyboard, they
will only work with a usb mouse.
I stand to be corrected, but I believe that the point needs to be made
here that enabling usb keyboard support is only needed if you plan to
use your usb keyboard to navigate the bios, or to use it under DOS. If
your linux kernel is properly configured for usb hid support, then you
shouldn't need to enable anything related to the usb keyboard in the
bios, since the kernel will find and talk to the usb keyboard on its
own once it loads.
