dangling symlinks

After some pretty heavy duty upgrades on Debian Sid in recent weeks, I
find that I now have some dangling symlinks associated with some missing
man pages. They are reported by the mandb command which is run as part
of my daily cron jobs.

I ran mandb -c manually hoping that rebuilding the database of man pages
would eliminate the problem, but it did not.

Is there any reason not to simply remove them? Is there a command that
will do that automatically? Nobody wants their symlinks to dangle.
