read all command not working with doubletalk pc

Hi all.

I just patched a kernel with the newest speakup from cvs, and the
insert with r command isn't working, it just types an r character into
the open file in an editor. I'm using a doubletalk pc, which should
be supported for the read all command, if my recollections of the
recent posts here are correct.
