OT: weird sound and network problem

Hi
The reason I'd need to remove the audigy2 in order to use my onboard
sound is that this particular motherboard disables the onboard sound
when it detects another sound card in the system. I've done a thorough
search of the Gentoo forums and haven't found anything, I'm waiting
for the forum admin to get back to me with my username created so that
I can ask it, since I can't create the user myself as they use one of
those image verification systems. I doubt, however, that this problem
is Gentoo-specific.
