OT: Lynx exiting with signal 11

hi adam
   free shows my swap   but some times the compiler gives me errors
i do ok compiling a 2.4 kernel but on a 2.6 kernel i get errors
sorry about the line lingth guess i get carried away with the return key 
lol tnx for the help
can you tell me how my swap file should be mounted in fstab?
