MailScanner is a vary powerful tool that will allow you to scan your
mail for spam and viruses.
It also has a process to keep itself up-to-date.
MailScanner has a mail list that is both informative and the people on
it are vary helpful.
 
It is what I use, and I am having no problems with it.
