Hi, it is not the speakers because I also use this same sound card under
windows xp professional servicepack 2 and it works just fine. so the
best bet to get alsa working is to download sources from
alsa-project.org and compile drivers, libs and utils with a
/usr/src/linux link to the source of the kernel I wish to use with it
then does the latest version of alsa have a tool that will probe for the
soundcard and is any alsa included with speakup modified kernels for
