First boot error

yes, I did follow the steps as instructed by the documentation.  Actually, I ended up rebooting without doing that last critical step to see what would happen. The result was that speakup does work, and didn't stop talking during boot up.
So, it looks like it install fine. 
 
The other problem I am having is invoking an application but that is an path issue.
 
Other than that, the installation went fine after my third attempt.
