Better? Try "differently."

It's a proof of concept. The proof was sufficiently strong that further
development can be expected. But, it's by no means ready for prime time
use.

You need to understand something about open source. Development happens
in the open, you get to hear about it, get to play with it, etc., etc.,
long before it's really very useful.

In this open source is radically different from the proprietary software
world you may have been accustomed to where you couldn't get your hands
on any application until it was fairly well cooked.
