On my Debian system, (not sure if this helps you or not),

lrwxrwxrwx  1 root root 13 Dec 27 19:46 /lib/libc.so.6 -> libc-2.3.2.so
- -rw-r--r--  1 root root 1244016 Dec 26 21:41 /lib/libc-2.3.2.so

It may vary by distro, but I would assume not much.  Be sure the permissions of
these files are, if not exactly the same, sensible.  You may also have a
libc.so.6 symlink that points to a slightly different file.  Don't worry.  Just
follow the symlink and be sure the file at the end has sensible permissions.
