Hi Greg Just get yourself a can of air and blow the dust out of the heatsink. I think you will find that it will perform smoothly after that. Pretty much all heatsinks need a good cleaning after 5 years. I just cleaned out one on a box of mine and you wouldn't believe the amount of crap. --Frank
