Please note that there are issues with killing processes used by
Gnopernicus. I have previously reported them, but I am not aware that
they have been dealt with yet.

You may need to kill several by hand before restarting
gnome/gnopernicus.

Switch to a text console while running gnopernicus and do a ps aux.
Then, do the same thing after logging out and run a diff on the two.
This little exercise will be most instructive.

Clearly, this problem will have to be resolved before we can consider
gnopernicus usable by the masses.
