serial conversion with speakup

Yes, an installation with software speech is certainly unlikely.
Unfortunately, the current Speakup Modified can't install via telnet,
either. We've filed the bug, but it isn't yet fixed.

I see two concerns here:

1.)	What's the shortest path to a working system in the particular
instance?

2.)	What's the correct long-term solution?

The answer to #1 may be "use sighted assistance." Clearly, we have
better answers for #2, but they will take longer.
