Any chance your cookies are disabled? RH requires them, though the HOWTO doesn't.

I've looked at some of the source code for the RH document and don't see anything in particular that should render it problematic. All of RH's urls are fully qualified--so cookies is the only thing I can see that might get in the way so far.
