the easier thing might just be to downlod it from the links webpage. Do you
have any clue what that might be.

Could be.

I am using Debian, so mu suggestion is to install apt4rpm and get it
working and then do an apt-get install links and it will install the
latest links. I have no idea how to do this in RH9, sorry.
